Body Detox Taking The First Steps
If you would like to do a body detox, you don’t need to splurge hundreds of dollars on experts to tell you what you already know.
As an alternative to spending your money, first take a crack at the following tips. You may also find this post useful on how what is detoxification.
What You Need To Stop Now
To start off, stop smoking and the consumption of alcohol. In regards to the smoking I can live without that, but I must say I do like a little drink on occasion. OK enough about me let’s get started.
Your Goal
The goal for you when doing a body detox is the stop putting into your body those things that are full of toxins and preservatives that are poisoning you slowly, and for many it’s the alcohol and cigarettes which are the major cause your body is full of toxins to start with.
It sounds hard right?, but if you are serious about your well-being, then you will need to quit those two things for now. You can still drink alcohol every now and then (no more than once a week and in very moderate quantities), and you should have no dilemma about reducing your intake.
Then again, if you’re not capable to stop drinking alcohol or limiting your intake of alcohol, then you should get professional assistance. If you have a drinking issue, you can detox your body later and you should focus on that predicament instead.
While you can still drink alcohol sparingly, you will not be able to go on smoking. Smoking cigarettes not only pollutes your body with nicotine, but with a mixture of other bad toxins as well. It’s just not possible to detox your body while smoking. No if’s, no buts, not “just a little,” not “once in a while.”You need to Quit.
Exercising
One more way to detox your body is doing exercise. Here is another area that some find difficult due to a lack of dedication and willpower, but it has many advantages. The most predominant, sweating is your body’s best and most effective way of eliminating harmful toxins. Your body’s blood circulation will work better and so will your bodies respiratory functions.
It will also let you vent off all the stress that results from work, traffic, relationships and other frustrating situations, so you’ll in fact feel healthier and satisfied after a physical workout. If you’re constant, you will see that you also lose weight or little by little transform that fat into muscle.
Stay Hydrated
A body detox also requires water. This will keep your body hydrated and clear of toxins. This will remove toxins faster. It is said you should drink a minimum of 2 liters or half a gallon of water per day. And by the way, coffee and tea doesn’t count. In fact while we’re on the topic, you should consider limiting your coffee and tea consumption if you plan to go on a cleanse diet, at least for the duration of the diet.
To break up the boredom of drinking only water I sometimes add in some lemon juice or even squeeze a little orange juice or any natural juice into the water just to be different.
To finish, you should think about modifying your eating routine. To detox your body, you should stop consuming all the stuff you know isn’t good for you. Chips, candy, chocolate, cake, soda’s etc. You know them, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you which ones to stop eating. If you are not sure, that’s OK to, just leave your questions below and I will be happy to answer them for you.
So, there you are. Some basic tips to do a complete body cleanse. Without pills or prescriptions and definitely no doctor bills. It sounds difficult, but it’s better to do it now while you’re actually healthy, rather than waiting for a sickness to provide you the willpower you need to do a body detox.
