Planning A Detox Menu
What type of detox menu would you need if you lived in a big polluted city, or maybe you have a cushy office job which can be stressful at times, as well as having to commute for an an hour each day in your car, and to top it all off doing no exercise, then you probably are forcing your liver to do extra work trying to eliminate all that excess of toxins.
I don’t know why my body is so full of toxins?
Toxins are absorbed from numerous sources that we have no real control over. The most noticeable one being pollution in the air that we breathe especially if you line in the big city areas. You can also digest bad toxins from all the chemicals that are in the foods we eat such as preservatives and not to forget many of the untested food colorings and additives, specially all the junk food or food that has been processed to the extent that it has lost an nutritional value that it once had.
Many of these chemicals are man made preservatives and food additives and colorings in canned foods and most processed foods and soft drinks. And to top your day off, when you stress at work or driving those long hours everyday in your car, we add our own toxins into our bodies.
In order to cleanse our body from these toxins, planning an effective detox menu is recommended. Here is why you should plan your detox diet menu?
A proper detox menu will get rid of those harmful toxins in your body. You will feel allot healthier and more energetic when you complete a detox diet. In addition, you will make your liver’s work much easier, since the liver is the organ that takes care of the natural detoxification of your body. This may greatly reduce the risk of a serious liver failure or liver disease in the future.
Is there anything I should consider when putting together detox menus?
As with all diets a detox menu is no different and can vary from one health specialist to another, however a good detox diet menu should have several common items.
One of the very first items that will be removed from your daily intake is going to be the consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is very hard for our liver to break down and expel from our bodies. If taken in large quantities for a long period of time, it may start accumulating scar tissue on the liver, which will result in cirrhosis, a failure of the liver.
Something that you will not find when planning a suitable detox menu is meat, and this goes especially for red meat. It is hard for our body to digest in excessive amounts and also a difficult thing for our liver to process, its not as bad as alcohol but it should be reduced considerably.
The eating of raw foods is also a requirement in this type of diet as well as many others. The reason that this is requested by a detox menu is that processed foods contain a lot of chemicals that aren’t natural and may rest in our bodies. As well as that eating raw foods also another way of gaining the full benefit from the food as cooking can also remove allot of the nutrition that we need.
Lastly, the most common factor and most important part of any detox diet menu is drinking water and as much as you can. Our natural detoxification requires water to work effectively in helping us remove toxins from our system. It allows us to eliminate toxins naturally, and it’s the most important component of our bodies.
