Why Water Is Nature’s Health Drink
With today’s ‘health drink’ market getting larger and larger, it’s hard to know which ones will deliver the health benefits they promise.
Flashy commercials and newspaper ads can help sell most products by catching your eye, but what if your best choice was already in your house?
What if the most beneficial and natural health drink of all time was right at your fingertips for a fraction of the cost of the leading health beverage?
It Is!
Ladies and gentlemen – H20. Yes, the simple element made from one part oxygen, two parts hydrogen is the most essential element – next to air – to our survival.
Water is virtually everywhere, yet most people today take the amazing substance for granted.
“I’m dying of thirst!”
Without water, we would die in only a few days. We are all made of water – it makes up two thirds of our weight! The brain is made of 95% water, the lungs are 90%, and the blood is 82% water.
Only a drop of 2% of body fluids can immediately trigger signs of dehydration: trouble with basic math, fuzzy short-term memory, and difficulty focusing on smaller print, such as a computer screen.
(If you’re having trouble reading this, go get a glass!)
Why Water Should Be Your Preferred Health Drink
Most cases of daytime fatigue can be attributed to mild dehydration. In fact, an estimated seventy-five percent of North Americans have mild, chronic dehydration. This is especially scary since water is so readily available, either by tap or bottle, in most regions! Water is not only refreshing to drink, but it’s also essential to our body’s mechanics.
Just as a car cannot drive without gas, your body cannot run without water. All cell and organ functions in our bodies depend on water for their functioning.
Water also serves as a lubricant and forms the base for saliva and the fluids that surround the joints, regulates metabolism, regulates body temperature through perspiration, and is the best and cheapest detox agent available!
Water alleviates constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste. Not only is water essential to the daily maintenance of our bodies, but it also helps prevent disease.
How Much Water Should You Drink Each Day
Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water a day can dramatically decrease your risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it has been found to potentially reduce the risk of breast cancer.
Of course, these are just a handful of examples of how water can aid in the prevention and even cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our complex bodies. Since water is so vital to our overall health and physiology, it’s imperative to make sure the quality of the water you consume is at its best.
Your drinking water should be clean and free of any contaminants to ensure your health and wellness.
A good filtration system is essential to help monitor and provide you and your family with the healthiest drinking water possible. So next time you’re pondering over which vitamin enhanced, sugar-laden ‘health drink’ to purchase, grab the clear choice instead.
No fillers, no additives – just clean, clear, and vital water.

I agree that water is the most essential component for our body aside of air. We can live with water without eating something! We use water for everything. We only drink water for extra safe and boiled 100 °C. Water is very much significant for one’s health from washing to cleaning. Thanks for sharing this post!
Hi
Yes there is not enough people drinking water, it is all to easy to go to the fridge and get a pop or even juice which both are full of sugar. Drink water it is better for you and no just one glass a day but try and drink about 5 glasses of water a day. This not only helps to stop the intake of calories but also aids in flushing out your body of toxins.
Thanks for the informative post!
We must drink lots of water daily and drink even that we’re not thirsty because when we’re drinking water only when we’re thirsty, it’s just like watering a plant when it’s very dry and the soil starting to crack!
Yes Ralph…
Water is the key ingredient that we need in everyday life, not just for dieting but to maintain a healthy lifestyle by using the water to flush out a lot of toxins which we digest day to day.
Our bodies consist of about 65% water and everytime we use the bathroom or sweat, we need to replenish our bodies in order for each organ to work properly. It not only aids to our thirst, but our weight, face, and skin.
Yes Kylie…
There are many people who place no importance on drinking water and would rather drink a soda or hot drink such as coffee with sugar and cream. We need water in our daily lives not just for weight loss but to help flush out the many toxins we are consuming every single day.
This is such good reminder… Drinking water seems like it’s an easy solution, but it’s hard to believe how easy it is to actually drink enough water throughout the day. You really just have to keep it by you at all times like you said.
This is so interesting, I knew we were 2/3 water but I never knew the breakdown like that. It’s true though, I have been trying to drink a lot more water and I’ve noticed that I feel a lot healthier!
Hi Kayla…
Yes you will feel much healthier simply because you are cleaning your body out by drinking water every day.
I know that drinking water is important for our health, but how much exactly should we be drinking? I’ve heard so many different things from different sources – 8 glasses a day from some, a certain percentage of your body weight from others, and I just wonder what’s the right answer??
Hi Lizzy
I would stay with eight glasses a day or what ever you body needs just make sure to keep your body hydrated with water so you can flush out any toxins you are taking in as fast as possible.
It’s in everyone’s knowledge that water is the most important and basic need of our body. However, I’m not aware that it can help decrease the risk of colon and bladder cancer. Thanks for sharing Fatso. Anyways, i personally think that it’s advisable to drink water that is filtered than drinking it from the faucet. Tap water has many contaminants that may put our health in danger. On the other hand, filtered water remove these dangerous contaminants than any other purification method.
Hi Mel
Yes I also only drink filtered water, we are lucky enough to live in the country so we have water tanks and simply filter that.
